The Central St. Croix Area Chamber Ambassadors had their monthly visit for August at the Baldwin Area Medical Center. They were treated to some refreshments and also a short history of this hospital. In 1936, this hospital was founded with a donation from a farmer and today is the oldest hospital in St. Croix County. The Baldwin Area Medical Center is the only freestanding independent hospital having partnerships with various health groups in the Wisconsin and Minnesota region. Services at the Medical Center consist of a primary care clinic, acute care hospital, specialty medical services and emergency medicine. The BAMC is getting set to open the first medical clinic in Roberts. They are planning to open in Miller’s Crossing as of November 2010. Dr. Clemma Nash and medical center support staff will have full time and evening hours and will offer family practice medicine, obstetrics, surgery consultations, laboratory and radiology. For further information on either BAMC or the Roberts Medical Clinic, please go to www.healthybaldwin.org or www.healthyroberts.org.

Hammond Heartland Days Medallion Hunt
The winner for this year's Heartland Days Medallion Hunt is:
Ryan Pawelczyk
The medallion was found at the post office on Davis Street.

Above is Brad Parrott, Chamber President and Don Fowell, owner of the Hammond Hotel with the Heartland Days Medallion Hunt winner, Ryan Pawelczyk. Ryan found the medallion on Friday and won a cash prize of $250.
A special thanks to all the hunters, hope you had a
great time this year. We will do it again next year for both Good Neighbor Days and Hammond Heartland Days. And another special thanks to all of those that
